Founded in 1996 in the heart of downtown Anchorage, the Glacier BrewHouse quickly became a local favorite—an inviting place where Alaskans meet Alaskans. From our humble beginnings, we’ve grown into a nationally recognized brewpub, known for handcrafted ales, fresh-caught seafood, and rustic cooking techniques that embrace the essence of the Last Frontier. Over the years, our passion for great food and exceptional brews has never wavered, and we remain committed to sharing the best of Alaska with every guest who walks through our doors.
Wildly, Simply, Alaskan
What does “Wildly, Simply, Alaskan” mean? To us, it’s about celebrating the rugged beauty and bountiful resources of our state. We source many of our ingredients locally—fresh salmon, halibut, King Crab, locally roasted coffee, and many others—so that each dish truly represents the flavors of our region. Our wood-fired rotisserie and grill, fueled by native alderwood, imbues a subtle smokiness that sets us apart and connects every meal to the land we call home.
Crafting Community
Community is at the heart of everything we do. Our spent brewing grain heads to local partners: Europa Bakery uses it to create the fresh bread you find at your table, and farms in Wasilla utilize the remainder feeding their animals. Next door, our sister establishment Orso offers a different dining experience under the same commitment to quality. Anchored across from the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, we love being part of your special nights, whether it’s a pre-show meal or a celebratory gathering with friends and family.
