Where Tradition Meets Innovation in the Last Frontier

The Heart of Our Craft

Since 1996, the Glacier BrewHouse brewery has been the driving force behind our signature flavors and exceptional ales. Built on a single-infusion, 15-barrel mash system, our operation consistently ranks among the top brewpubs in the nation for beer production. Each pint reflects our passion for innovation and respect for tradition—whether you’re enjoying a bold West Coast–style IPA, a smooth English ale, or one of our specialty oak-aged brews.

Fresh, Local & Consistently Inspired

Our Brewing Process

We craft each batch right here in the heart of downtown Anchorage, often drawing from special ingredients and our team’s creativity to dream up new, exciting flavors. From milling to mash, every step of our process is meticulously overseen by dedicated experts who take pride in delivering the highest quality pour. The result is an ever-rotating selection of traditional staples and seasonal favorites that capture the spirit of Alaska in every sip.

From Colorado to the Great North

Meet the Head Brewer

Drew Weber joined Glacier BrewHouse in 2001, transforming a short stay in Anchorage into a lifelong passion. Originally from Colorado, Drew found himself stranded in Alaska after 9/11—but rather than return home, he embraced the opportunity to immerse himself in the local brewing scene. Progressing from busser to head brewer, he honed his craft at the renowned Siebel Institute. Today, Drew’s expertise, creativity, and love for the craft are evident in every brew that comes out of our tanks.

Complex Flavors, Rich Character

Oak Aging & Beyond

One of our proudest innovations is our elaborate oak-aging program, which brings out deep and nuanced flavors in select beers. Aged in oak barrels for added depth, these specialty brews offer bold, complex taste profiles you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re a seasoned craft beer enthusiast or just curious about new flavors, our oak-aged creations are a must-try experience.

Half On-Site, Half to Share

Brewed for the Community

We’re proud to produce around 4,500 barrels each year, with half served fresh on-site at the BrewHouse and half distributed across Alaska and Washington via the Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC). This ensures that craft beer lovers both near and far can savor the taste of our Alaskan heritage.
